My name is M'INCHINOTTO,
I was born in the Ligurian inland at the home of “Origine Liquori
Vallebormida”, through a selection of the renowned Chinotto
(Slow Food Presidium of Savona).
INGREDIENTS:
Grain alcohol, Italian beet sugar, aromatic caramel,
lemon juice, Chinotto (Slow Food Presidium of Savona),
natural orange extracts, in mineral water from the Fonte
Bauda spring of Calizzano.
PRODUCTION:
After a 30-day maceration of the ingredients into a room temperature blend
composed of water and alcohol, I am filtered and left to rest for 10 days,
then filtered again under high pressure to
make me clear. Once bottled, I wait a further 10 days
for the molecular recomposition of the aromas to occur and finally be ready
to be appreciated.
A TYPICAL TASTE:
The typical hints of the chinotto peel stand out,
with intense and persistent citrus notes on the nose, reminiscing the purity and freshness of
typical chinotto-based drinks.
A dominant bitterness emerges on the palate,
balanced by sweet orange.
Tradition has it that the chinotto plant originates from southern China
and was imported into Italy by a Ligurian sailor.
HOW TO TASTE ME?
You can enjoy me straight, with ice, cold and as a base for
numerous cocktails.
